Skrillex – “Recess” (2014)
They say the truth: in January, good intentions begin and end. Before March begins and amuses me with projects and endless assignments, I’d like to introduce “Recess” by Skrillex.

By pure chance, this is one of my favourite albums. I’m not particularly proud of this fact, but it could be worse. None of the eleven tracks really bothers me; only Doompy Poomp is a bit too over the top for my taste. “Recess” mixes dubstep and drum ‘n’ bass and releases a strong, light/dark energy: for instance, All Is Fair In Love And Brostep is dark and oppressive, whereas Fire Away is fluid and light.
I struggle in not recommending the whole album. If I had to choose, I would highlight All Is Fair In Love And Brostep (heavily inspired by Zomboy’s Terror Squad), Try It Out (the one in Call of Duty), Ragga Bomb and Fire Away.
