monkey and cat

I’m on this farm and somebody is there talking to me, just really chatting away, when I really should be working. I’m trying to be polite, nodding along and smiling, but also stealing glances into the shed where some of my sick animals are.

Among others, there is a monkey and a cat. The monkey has managed to grab a key with its tail and is trying to get the cat out of its pen.

I’m clapping and shouting at the monkey to get its attention and tell it not to mess with the cat’s enclosure, but it is ignoring me, and the other person is oblivious to the fact that I really need to go.

When I look back, the monkey has pulled the cat free and is letting it jump to the ground.

I run after the cat and am able to catch it and scoop it up. It struggles and fights at first and I’m afraid of getting scratched, but I hold it close and stroke it and it calms down and starts purring.

I get back to the shed to put the cat away, but its entire pen has been scattered to pieces across the floor. Its bowls and water and food. The base is separate from the top, and the little house it can go inside is all in pieces. I set the cat down and try to put it all back together but I can’t figure out how the pieces fit.
