no fries

2020-10-14

A huge famous rock band was coming to play at an elementary school and they were going to bring all of the kids apple juice and Burger King french fries.

They showed up and there was a small juice box for each kid, but no fries. And they pointed out in the agreement where it actually says the kids could have fries if they wanted, but that the band wouldn’t be providing them.

So instead of just saying “Sorry, no fries” to the kids, we were scrambling around trying to figure out how to order 106 orders of fries from BK. We ended up taking 10 - 12 kids at a time on a field trip over BK so they could buy their fries. Each time we went, the BK cashier looked a little more like he wanted to die.

After we did this 10 - 12 times, all the kids had a juice and a fries, and the band was playing and there was a ridiculously huge light rig and it was awesome.

Then I was on stage and I was the lead singer / lead guitarist, but I don’t know how to play guitar, so I was just doing mad air guitar.

It was time for a bass solo, and the bass player got out this 24 string bass guitar. The neck was so wide you can’t possibly wrap your hand around it. He sat on the floor with it upright in his lap, and started tapping the fret with both hands. It sounded awesome.
