slap and pull

We were celebrating backstage. My teammates were coming up to me for high fives. I was excited, feeling like they finally accepted me.

One guy came in for a high five and I grabbed his hand and held it, and he was like, No. No grabbing. Just regular high fives. Like this.

And he demonstrated a classic, textbook perfect, flat palmed high five.

Clowning around, I was like, Oh, just.. a quick slap and then pull back. Slap and pull! Slap and pull!

And I started chanting Slap and pull! as I theatrically over performed high fives with all my friends.

I’m not sure whether they continued to really accept me after that.
